This service represents the transition from conceptualization to decision-making. Its goal is to define, in a consensual and operational way, the rules that will govern the functioning of the ecosystem and the use of data within the Data Space.
DS·3 supports ecosystem stakeholders in defining a common governance framework that addresses key questions such as:
- What shared principles should guide the ecosystem? (transparency, data sovereignty, proportionality, fairness).
- What is expected from each role?
- Who can access which data, for what purpose, and under what conditions?
- How do participants join and leave the Data Space?
- What legal, contractual, and ethical commitments are required?
The work is structured around highly focused workshops oriented towards real decision-making. The approach deliberately avoids abstract or overly theoretical discussions, and instead focuses on translating strategic agreements into clear, understandable, and actionable rules.
The outcome is a Rulebook that becomes the backbone of ecosystem governance: a document understandable for both business and technical profiles, and ready to evolve into technical rules, access policies, and automated control mechanisms.
This strategic framework also serves as a direct input for the design of the Data Space platform, technical connectors, identity systems, and trust and compliance mechanisms.
Deliverable:
-
Data Space Rulebook: governance framework understandable for business and ready for technical implementation.
